Capping 2nd Shift ($23.40-$24.00 with Shift Differential)
About The Position
The Capping position involves testing the core, applying epoxy, and insulating the core with caps and strips. Caps are secured to the top and bottom of the core, and strips are attached to the inside and outside diameters using tape. The role is based in a climate-controlled facility and is listed for 2nd shift, with a 20% shift differential. Overtime is required. The employee follows OSHA-aligned work practices, safety and work rules, and quality requirements. Duties include operating efficiently, completing operator preventive maintenance, following 5S requirements, confirming materials match design requirements, recording operational data, and safely operating a hoist. The employee may also perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Ability to read and use measuring devices, including tape measures.
- Ability to understand measurements using standard and metric measuring devices.

Responsibilities
- Test the core, apply epoxy, and insulate it with caps and strips.
- Secure caps to the top and bottom of the core and attach strips to the ID and OD using tape.
- Ensure work practices comply with OSHA standards.
- Perform operations efficiently and follow safety and work rules.
- Perform required operator preventive maintenance.
- Meet 5S requirements and keep the department clean.
- Verify that materials used are correct for the design requirements.
- Ensure products meet the required quality standard.
- Record operational data on specified forms or in computer software.
- Operate a hoist properly and safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
