About The Position

Ginger Cove is seeking a hands-on Capital Project Manager to lead high-impact projects from start to finish. This role involves overseeing capital improvement projects and campus renovations that directly impact residents and staff. The Capital Project Manager will be responsible for facility upgrades, renovations, and long-term capital projects within a premier life-care retirement community. This position serves as the key liaison between internal teams, contractors, and vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, facilities, construction, or capital projects required.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking of projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, or CCRC environments preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead capital projects from planning through completion
  • Develop scopes, budgets, timelines, and project plans
  • Manage bidding, contractor selection, and negotiations
  • Oversee contractors and vendors to ensure quality and compliance
  • Conduct site visits to track progress and resolve issues
  • Monitor budgets, costs, and project financials
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on status and risks
  • Lead project meetings, walkthroughs, and final closeouts
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations
  • Partner with internal teams to minimize disruption to operations
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
  • Support long-term capital planning and facility improvements
