The Capital Equipment Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and continuously improving PM programs for all production equipment, including press brakes, lasers, punch presses, and robotic welders. This role involves managing equipment files, manuals, maintenance procedures, parts ordering, and inventory at a lead-person level, as well as interfacing with external vendors and understanding service contracts. The specialist will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment with mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic controls to maximize capital equipment uptime, diagnosing root causes of failures using structured problem-solving methods and returning equipment to OEM condition. Additionally, the role supports Manufacturing Engineering on new equipment installations, moves, upgrades, and project work, providing hands-on technical input during commissioning and startup. The position requires completing and maintaining all required maintenance logs, PM records, and related files to lead-person documentation standards, while strictly adhering to all company and departmental safety policies and OSHA/MSD requirements, ensuring safe working conditions and good housekeeping standards.
