As a Capacity Account Manager, your role will involve delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. You will also work closely with carriers and colleagues to find solutions to any issues that arise. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 plus Years’s account management and carrier sales experience in freight brokerage
  • Experience in executing across multiple modes of transportation (LTL, Volume, Truckload, Partial, Intermodal, and Expedited).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Transportation Management Software.
  • Strong customer service background and ability to quickly build rapport with carriers.

  • associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of accountability for carriers strategically matching, negotiating, and booking available equipment with available freight for transactional and dedicated lane opportunities.
  • Apply a strategic sales approach to foster positive relationships with trucking company key contacts. Resolving problems and expanding industry knowledge.
  • Leverage logistics and other technology platforms to make informed decisions, negotiate prices, and drive automation.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, carrier sourcing, operations, and billing teams to ensure accurate load execution and documentation.
  • Order building for Non-EDI Shipments in Sheer’s TMS, Scheduling and rescheduling pickup and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers, verifying accurate info.
  • Understand transportation-related market conditions for capturing opportunities within Sheers Customer network.
  • Develop and execute account plans to grow revenue and increase wallet share
  • Understand Sheers products and services and live by sheers values daily.
  • Continually pursue new carrier acquisition through cold calling, researching and lead generation.
