Cannabis Cultivation Technician
About The Position
Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for Temporary Cultivation Techs to help with on-site cultivation for one or more medical cannabis gardens during a very busy season for a cannabis company located 30 miles SW of the Bloomington/Normal, Illinois, area. For workers who do a great job, there is the potential for this to turn into a permanent opportunity. Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is the Original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry. As a Cultivation Tech, you will get the opportunity to monitor and maintain plant production & health. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to maintaining quality control measures; maintaining organization, cleanliness and efficiency of production area; carrying out day-to-day plant care; and monitoring and maintaining plant production and quality control measures.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment

- Ability to arrive on time and willing to give 100%
- Comfortable performing duties in up to 85 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and lift plants and equipment up to 50 pounds for extended periods of time
- Ability to stand, sit, climb, twist, and kneel up to 8 hours/day
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with your hands
- Ability to work in climates with varying temperatures (there will be some work in a greenhouse)
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to take direction
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Proven work ethic and reliable transportation
- Ability to arrive on time (Shifts usually start at 7 am)
- Ability to work for a licensed cannabis operation in the State of Illinois, which includes being at least 21 years of age and receiving authorization from the Illinois State to work for a licensed cannabis operation

- Horticulture degree or experience in horticulture preferred
