About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the Saddleback Kids (SK) ministry program is offered on the weekend, which includes program set-up, room setup and teardown, check-in area management, and staffing. The position also involves preparing curriculum and materials for weekend use and special events, recruiting, onboarding, training, and shepherding SK volunteers. Communication with volunteers, families, the campus team, and the SK central team is essential. The role also requires participation in weekly campus staff meetings, monthly SK meetings, and monthly all-staff meetings.

Requirements

• Experience in Children's Ministry (for Director role).
• Administrative experience is highly desirable.
• Experience recruiting and shepherding volunteers.
• Ability to make decisions within the SK playbook (full range for Director, with Campus Pastor guidance for Coordinator).
• Commitment to Saddleback Church's religious beliefs and mission.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Saddleback Kids ministry program is offered on the weekend.
• Manage program set-up, including rooms, check-in area, and staffing requirements.
• Teach Explore SK, New Leader Orientation 1, baptism classes, and child dedication classes.
• Prepare all curriculum for weekend use, including print items, keynotes, and crafts.
• Prepare for special event weekends as needed.
• Recruit and onboard new SK volunteers.
• Facilitate training and fellowship for SK volunteers.
• Provide care and shepherding for SK volunteers.
• Send weekly email communication to SK volunteers.
• Communicate with families as needed.
• Create promotional materials for the ministry.
• Maintain communication with the campus team and SK central team.
• Attend weekly campus staff meetings.
• Attend monthly SK meetings.
• Attend monthly all-staff meetings.
