About The Position

Dow is seeking exceptional Undergraduate and Graduate level Engineering students for entry-level Engineering opportunities in Operations (Manufacturing & Engineering). The role involves a broad range of responsibilities in various work settings, including chemical plant safety and environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation. Engineers will use sound technical judgment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations, contributing to solving global issues through science and collaboration. The majority of positions are in Louisiana, Michigan, and Texas, with limited positions in other U.S. sites. A TWIC card or eligibility to obtain one may be required.

Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Material Science / Metallurgical Engineering.
A Graduation date of no later than September 2027.
The ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis.
No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Reliable attendance.
Ability to provide own accommodation and have own reliable transportation to the plant site daily.
No more than two (2) years of relevant full-time work experience post-graduation.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to plant operating personnel to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Manufacturing process troubleshooting and problem solving.
Preventive maintenance.

Project management and implementation.
Equipment design.
New technology implementation.
Provide technical expertise in maintenance & reliability, production operations, and project engineering.
Provide technical expertise in power plant operations and project engineering.
Design of MCC/transformer/switchgear.
Electrical instrumentation troubleshooting and problem solving.
Motor control.
Project work ranging from small plant improvements to design of large new facilities.
Apply expertise to concrete, structural steel, and site development plans.
Collaborate with a team of civil engineers and designers to coordinate with other design disciplines.
Work ranging from small plant material of construction improvements to the metallurgical design of large new facilities.
Apply expertise in material science to collaborate with facility teams and designers.
Coordinate with other design disciplines to successfully complete the selection of the most effective materials for projects and daily maintenance.
