About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Campus Dean for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program to provide strategic leadership in the supervision, development, planning, and evaluation of all nursing program activities at our campus. Requirements

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing required
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution
  • Graduate coursework in nursing education, administration, or leadership required
  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where campus is located (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role managing BSN nursing programs or nursing education administration
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in pre-licensure or post-licensure nursing education programs
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
  • Demonstrated experience in academic program supervision, strategic planning, and budget management
  • Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to nursing education leadership
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing education
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and community partners
  • Proficiency with learning management systems, student information systems, and computer-based educational technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse groups and facilitate collaborative decision-making
  • Experience managing budgets, allocating resources, and maintaining fiscal accountability
  • Knowledge of BRN regulations, NCLEX-RN preparation, and nursing program accreditation standards

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the BSN nursing program including budget administration, resource allocation, and strategic planning
  • Lead faculty recruitment, hiring, development, and performance management to ensure educational excellence
  • Direct curriculum development, implementation, and continuous improvement aligned with BRN regulations
  • Ensure program compliance with all Board of Registered Nursing rules, regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Develop and maintain program policies, procedures, faculty handbooks, and student handbooks
  • Manage nursing program supplies, equipment, and laboratory resources
  • Provide student advocacy, academic advising, and comprehensive support services
  • Prepare and submit required reports, self-studies, proposals, and surveys to state regulatory agencies and the Board of Registered Nursing
  • Maintain comprehensive student and faculty records ensuring documentation of qualifications and credentials
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to verify faculty licensure and educational qualifications
  • Oversee student admissions process, enrollment management, and new student orientation programs
  • Lead and participate in nursing program advisory committees and institutional committees
  • Develop articulation agreements with community colleges and universities for course transfer equivalencies
  • Identify and secure external funding sources, grants, and resources for nursing program enhancement
  • Monitor and analyze NCLEX-RN pass rates, graduate employment rates, and student learning outcomes data
  • Establish and maintain clinical partnerships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, and community health organizations
  • Negotiate and manage clinical affiliation agreements and contracts with clinical education sites
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical site evaluations assessing patient population, learning opportunities, safety standards, and alignment with course objectives
  • Coordinate student clinical placements, faculty assignments, rotation schedules, and clinical learning objectives with site preceptors
  • Submit BRN clinical site approval forms and documentation prior to initiating clinical rotations
  • Ensure completion of clinical evaluations and provide summary reports to academic leadership
  • Maintain documentation of inter-agency communications and clinical partnership meetings
  • Lead faculty orientation, mentoring, and professional development initiatives
  • Facilitate regular nursing faculty meetings and maintain meeting minutes and action items
  • Mediate and resolve faculty conflicts and student concerns through established protocols
  • Manage student academic appeals, grievances, and disciplinary matters according to institutional policy
  • Provide academic advising regarding degree progression, course sequencing, and graduation requirements
  • Ensure students receive comprehensive orientation to nursing skills laboratories and clinical facilities
  • Verify student completion of all documentation, immunizations, background checks, and eligibility requirements for graduation and NCLEX-RN licensure examination
  • Serve as primary liaison between the college and healthcare community, professional organizations, and regulatory agencies
  • Develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies to promote the nursing program
  • Maintain active membership and participation in professional nursing and nursing education associations
  • Collaborate with student services departments including counseling, registration, financial aid, and academic support on behalf of nursing students
  • Represent the nursing program at community events, health fairs, and professional conferences
