About The Position

Yelp is seeking a University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) student to serve as a Campus Ambassador, helping students discover local businesses and growing Yelp’s presence and community on campus. This is a part-time, hourly, fixed-term role running from January through December 2027, with approximately 10 hours of work per week on a flexible schedule. The ambassador will receive support from Yelp’s community expansion team and collaborate with Campus Ambassadors at other universities.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and plan to remain enrolled through December 2027.
Live on or within 30 minutes of U of M campus housing.
Be available to work 10 hours per week through the end of the year.
Genuinely enjoy helping people discover and support local businesses.
Demonstrate leadership and planning abilities in a friend group, club, team, or dorm floor.
Be savvy on social media and able to create engaging content.
Be full of ideas, take initiative, and know how to make things happen.
Be organized and reliable, and able to balance the role with coursework.

Responsibilities

Plan and host 2–3 Yelp events or experiences each semester for university students.
Create original content for Yelp’s social channels.
Build local guides and encourage students to discover and share their favorite businesses on Yelp.
Partner with university clubs and organizations to promote the Yelp community.
Develop creative grassroots marketing ideas that get students talking about Yelp.
Attend regular check-ins with the Yelp U program lead and share event results and campus insights.
