About The Position

Yelp is seeking a Campus Ambassador to grow Yelp’s presence at the University of Texas at Austin and build community among students. This part-time, hourly, fixed-term role runs from January through December 2027 and requires approximately 10 hours of work per week on a flexible schedule. The ambassador will receive support from Yelp’s community expansion team and have opportunities to collaborate with other Campus Ambassadors across the country. The role offers hands-on experience representing a national brand and putting creative ideas into action.

Candidates must be currently enrolled at UT Austin and plan to remain enrolled through December 2027, and live on or within 30 minutes of campus housing. The position pays $20–$25 per hour. Yelp is an equal opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations during the application process.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at UT Austin and planning to remain enrolled through December 2027.
• Live on or within 30 minutes of UT Austin campus housing.
• Available to work 10 hours per week through the end of 2027.
• Genuine interest in helping people discover and support local businesses.
• Leadership and planning experience among friends, a club, a team, or a dorm floor.
• Social media savvy and ability to create engaging content.
• Initiative, creativity, organization, and reliability, including the ability to balance the role with coursework.

Responsibilities

• Plan and host 2–3 Yelp events or experiences for university students each semester.
• Create original content for Yelp’s social channels.
• Build local guides and encourage students to discover and share their favorite local businesses on Yelp.
• Partner with university clubs and organizations to promote the Yelp community.
• Develop creative grassroots marketing ideas that get students talking about Yelp.
• Participate in regular check-ins with the Yelp U program lead and share event results and campus insights.
