About The Position

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a Campus Executive Chef to lead culinary operations for residential dining, retail brands, and catering at the University of Texas at Arlington in Arlington, Texas. The role leads culinary innovation and service, develops menus, manages catering events, and supports high-quality campus dining. The chef oversees inventory, financial performance, team training, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The position offers a salary of $95,000–$100,000, an annual bonus opportunity, and $15,000 in relocation assistance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training.
Hands-on chef experience.
Knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, email, and the internet.
Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities.

Nice To Haves

Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience.
Extensive catering experience.
Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
Institutional and batch cooking experience.
ServSafe certification.
