About The Position

Yelp is hiring a Campus Ambassador to grow Yelp’s presence at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and build community among students. The ambassador will work approximately 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule, from January through December 2027. They will receive support from Yelp’s community expansion team and have opportunities to collaborate with Campus Ambassadors nationwide. This part-time, hourly, fixed-term role offers hands-on experience representing a national brand and putting creative ideas into action.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and plan to remain enrolled through December 2027.
Live on or within 30 minutes of U of M campus housing.
Be available to work 10 hours per week through the end of the year.
Genuinely enjoy helping people discover and support local businesses.
Demonstrate leadership and planning skills in a friend group, club, team, or dorm floor.
Be savvy on social media and able to turn a meal into a moment.
Be full of ideas, take initiative, and know how to make things happen.
Be organized and reliable, and able to balance the role with coursework.

Responsibilities

Plan and host 2–3 Yelp events or experiences each semester for university students.
Create original content for Yelp’s social channels.
Build local guides and encourage students to discover and recommend their favorite businesses on Yelp.
Partner with university clubs and organizations to promote the Yelp community.
Develop creative grassroots marketing ideas that get students talking about Yelp.
Join regular check-ins with the Yelp U program lead and share event results and campus insights.
