About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience and provides a legendary experience for every customer by identifying and evaluating customer needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

The Outfitter demonstrates products, replenishes and restocks merchandise, maintains knowledge of products and advertised sales, and maintains pricing and signing. The role also assists with seasonal merchandise moves, keeps the work area clean and stocked, and follows company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

The position works under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. It involves choosing from limited alternatives to resolve problems, occasional independent judgment, and making recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices. Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs and recommend products accordingly.

• Replenish and restock merchandise as required, following merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signing.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
