About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, keeping the work area clean and stocked, and helping customers make purchasing decisions through needs assessment and product recommendations. The outfitter also promotes programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up, and follows company policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during a shift and meet the physical requirements described in the posting, including moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lifting or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training and stay informed about advertised sales, pricing, and signing.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
