About The Position

The Campground Ranger patrols campground grounds, answers guest questions, enforces resort rules, and helps protect the safety of guests and their belongings. The role involves monitoring and securing the property, overseeing campground access, and responding calmly and appropriately to stressful situations in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal law. The ranger also supports guest services by handling reservations, check-ins and check-outs, day-pass and store sales, and routine inspections. On-call emergency service may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills, and ability to use computer applications.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to assess situations, exercise quick and reasonable judgment, and resolve problems diplomatically.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a friendly demeanor.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance.
Ability to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in security and/or law enforcement.
Experience working in an RV environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor the property for issues or potential problems.
Ensure the property is properly secured.
Ensure guests comply with resort rules, respond to areas of concern, and contact law enforcement when necessary.
Monitor incoming guests at the campground gate and validate whether access is acceptable.
Perform routine patrols and inspect golf carts and rentals.
Take camping reservations, check guests in and out, and sell day passes and store items.
Prioritize guest safety and happiness.
Perform on-call emergency service as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
