About The Position

This is a summer healthcare internship opportunity for EMTs, nursing students, pre-med students, or healthcare professionals looking to gain real-world experience in on-site medical care and health supervision for youth camps. The role offers hands-on patient care experience in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, building resumes for medical school, nursing programs, or EMT careers. The position features a Monday-Friday schedule with no nights or overnight shifts.

Requirements

  • EMTs, nursing students, pre-med students, or healthcare professionals.
  • Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
  • Strong interest in healthcare, medicine, or patient care.
  • Comfortable working independently in a camp setting.
  • Candidates must be available to commute to multiple San Diego camp locations.
  • Must be available from June 8 – August 14, 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and basic medical care to campers and staff.
  • Respond to injuries, illnesses, and health-related incidents.
  • Manage medications and allergies (including EpiPens).
  • Maintain accurate medical and incident reports.
  • Communicate with parents regarding health concerns.
  • Conduct daily health checks and monitor camper well-being.
  • Ensure a safe and proactive health environment.
