About The Position

Padres Baseball Camps is seeking a Site Director for our summer youth baseball and softball camps across San Diego County. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, and passionate about inspiring youth to make good choices, be accountable, and have fun. We provide equipment, training, and curriculum, while the Site Director provides leadership to ensure campers have a positive learning experience, develop a love for the game, make new friends, improve their skills, and appreciate personal accountability. This role is suitable for individuals with various coaching skill levels, catering to ages 4-13. More information can be found at www.padres.com/camps.

Requirements

• Experienced leader, self-starter, and excellent communicator.
• Passionate about creating a positive impact on children, families, coaches, and the community.
• Experience working with children ages 4-13.
• Experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher.
• Passion for teaching and providing quality leadership in an engaging and energetic way.
• Ability to connect with children both one-on-one and in a group setting.
• Acutely aware of physical and emotional safety, with the ability to problem-solve in real time.
• Leads by example with strong character, integrity, and a positive attitude.
• Dependable and reliable.
• Provides candid feedback to team members, helping them grow personally and professionally.
• Familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball.
• Experience and comfort with technology for efficient camp operations.
• Be prepared to make a 10-week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately eight hours per day (June 8, 2026 to August 14, 2026).
• Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening.
• Be a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability.
• At times be responsible for driving a rented cargo van and having a safe space to park it.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers.
• Supervise, manage, and motivate staff and campers, ensuring high-level camp experience delivery.
• Execute San Diego Padres Baseball Camps Curriculum daily, under the direction of the Site Director.
• Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games.
• Highlight teachable moments for campers and coaches to learn and grow from, and encourage fun each day of camp.
• Work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds to uphold the Padres Camps reputation.
