The summer programs manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of all summer camps, programs, and activities for youth. This role involves working closely with various coordinators to ensure tasks are developed and executed, goals are achieved, and planning is well-developed. The manager will also collaborate with other staff to book field trips, create and market posters, and ensure other summer programs are running smoothly. Key responsibilities include guiding summer youth workers, developing follow-up plans and programs, mentoring youth workers, managing day-to-day activities (curriculum, resources, finances, communication), and setting goals while working independently and as part of a team. Through this position, the manager will gain fundamental skills in situation assessment and problem-solving, develop creativity and innovation, enhance personal management skills (organizational and leadership), and become adaptable and continuously learning.
