About The Position

The Center for Disability Services is dedicated to providing hope, innovation, and achievement to individuals with disabilities, serving as one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for 80 years. Many of their innovative programs and vital services are unique to the region. The organization is seeking a Camp Lifeguard for Camp Clover Patch, located in Glenville, NY. The camp dates are from May 30, 2026, to July 17, 2026, with orientation scheduled for May 30, 2026.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding
• CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of job related experience, specifically working with people with developmental disabilities

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise campers and staff engaged in aquatic activities by visually monitoring the pool area poolside.
• Organize the pool area during concurrent activities to minimize conflict and promote a positive experience for all participants.
• Monitor and maintain pool chemical levels each shift in accordance with Center policy and New York State Department of Health standards.
• Perform pool setup and closing duties in accordance with Center pool policies, and preparing equipment.
• Clean and maintain pool deck sanitation as directed by Center protocols and in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
• Inspect all waterfront and pool equipment and report any defects, along with recommended corrective actions, to the supervisor.
