About The Position

Camp Widjiwagan of the YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Camp Cook for the Summer Seasonal position. This role is responsible for keeping campers and guests well-fed with delicious meals in a fun and dynamic environment. The position involves cooking meals, assisting with meal preparation, service, and cleanup, maintaining kitchen standards, and accommodating dietary needs.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 18
• CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, lift, pull, stoop, and stand for long periods of time

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Kitchen experience preferred but not required
• Organized, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
• Experience with therapeutic diets (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Cook meals for campers, staff, and special events
• Help with meal prep, service, and cleanup
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen
• Ensure meals meet quality and budget guidelines
• Provide top-notch service to guests and accommodate dietary needs
• Lite scratch cooking daily

Benefits

• Pay Range starts at $15 per hour (or more depending on experience)
