About The Position
The Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC) is seeking a caring, enthusiastic Childcare Attendant to help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for our Members’ children. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and takes pride in delivering exceptional service in a prestigious, family‑oriented setting.
Requirements
- First Aid & CPR certification
- E.C.E. student status or experience working with children
- Knowledge of child development and safe childcare practices
- Patience, warmth, and strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Criminal background check required.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and a safe, nurturing experience for children
- Create fun, age‑appropriate activities that encourage creativity and social interaction
- Greet parents warmly and communicate clearly about daily activities and expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized childcare space and accurate attendance records
- Serve as a positive role model while upholding RCYC’s high service standards
