This role supports camp operations at Eskay Creek, ensuring smooth administrative processes, assisting multiple departments, and maintaining operational excellence in a remote setting.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in administrative or camp coordination roles
  • 1 year experience in a remote or resource-sector setting
  • Experience supporting multiple departments and managing logistics in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in sensitive matters
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with various reporting tools and systems
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, hospitality, logistics, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative assistance to the Mine/Site Manager.
  • Coordinate daily camp activities, including room assignments, maintenance requests, and general inquiries.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Record meeting minutes and organize site or camp-related functions as required.
  • Generate and communicate incident reports and support documents for ongoing site-based projects.
  • Liaise with multiple departments (Supply & Logistics, Safety, Engineering) to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Oversee and coordinate services provided by camp service operators, ensuring contractual and quality standards are maintained.
  • Ensure adherence to Skeena’s camp protocols and procedures in a remote setting.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce cleanliness standards for all camp common areas.
  • Manage overall site travel logistics in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide support for site fleet management and scheduling.
  • Coordinate onboarding and safety training for all new camp employees, visitors, and guests in collaboration with the Safety and Security teams.
  • Perform all other duties as reasonably assigned.

  • Flight transportation from major urban centers will be provided to the Terrace or Smithers airports for applicants located elsewhere in western Canada.
  • Shuttles will provide transportation to the Eskay Creek Camp facilities from Terrace or Smithers airports.
