Job PurposeThe Calibration & Repair Technician I is responsible for the calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic laboratory equipment used in battery and energy storage testing. This role supports safe, reliable, and compliant operation of test systems by performing hands on equipment repair, diagnostics, calibration, and documentation in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform calibration of electronic laboratory test equipment using recognized metrology practices, written procedures, and manufacturer specifications. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic battery testing equipment at the component, sub assembly, and system level. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of electronic test equipment including battery cyclers, power supplies, load banks, data acquisition systems, sensors, and associated instrumentation. Perform functional verification and re calibration following repairs to ensure equipment is operating within specification prior to return to service. Conduct failure analysis on malfunctioning equipment, documenting root cause, corrective actions, and preventive recommendations. Maintain accurate calibration and repair records, including as found/as left data and full traceability in accordance with quality requirements. Interface with external calibration and repair vendors to resolve technical issues and coordinate outsourced services Support laboratory operations by assisting engineers and technicians in isolating equipment related test anomalies during battery testing. Perform routine and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and improve system reliability. Follow established procedures and SOPs to maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and internal quality requirements. Make recommendations for replacement parts, equipment upgrades, and improvements to calibration or maintenance processes. Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new or modified battery test equipment. Comply with all safety, PPE, and environmental health requirements when working with energized equipment and hazardous materials. Perform other duties as assigned.
