About The Position
Wilkes University is seeking a part-time, temporary Calculus Teacher for its Upward Bound Program. This federally funded TRIO Program aims to support high school students in their college preparation and higher education aspirations. The teacher will be responsible for implementing the academic component by teaching and tutoring calculus concepts to supplement and strengthen students' current high school mathematics knowledge. The position is for Fall 2026, with classes held on Thursday evenings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, and/or a related field.

- Experience working with high school students.
- Experience in a college-preparatory program.
Responsibilities
- Implement the academic component of the Upward Bound Program.
- Teach and tutor high school students in calculus concepts during structured class periods.
- Supplement and strengthen students' knowledge of material covered in their current high school mathematics courses.
