This position is responsible for accurately redeeming and processing various cash instruments for both internal and external guests including conducting transactions and accounting for all cage assets by performing duties in the Front line, Poker, Retail, JP/Fill Bank, and Vault, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY. The role involves promoting and providing excellent guest service experiences, verifying funds, complying with enterprise and departmental policies and procedures, and performing the majority of tasks with computing and electronic equipment. The Cage Cashier must accurately perform and maintain accountability of all transactions, count down banks, and handle various vault duties such as shift buys, verification of cash/chips, tip tax deposits, cash strap verifications, cash-on-hand verifications, data input, safeguarding casino bankroll, mobile cart/pouch issuance, preparing daily bank deposits, receiving bank shipments, verifying and securing unclaimed items, maintaining currency/coin levels, filling kiosk cassettes, and receiving/dispersing tournament entry fees. Additionally, the position requires basic to intermediate knowledge in identifying counterfeit currency and fraud, attending trainings, maintaining confidentiality, safeguarding casino assets, and maintaining a dependable work attendance record.
