Cage Cashier - Bossier City
About The Position
The Cage Cashier handles Live! Rewards enrollments, redemptions, and member service, while accurately processing cash transactions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and state regulations. The role includes explaining rewards benefits and promotions, issuing cards, assisting members with redemptions, exchanging chips and slot tickets for cash, and processing check-cashing and counter-check transactions. The Cage Cashier maintains responsibility for cash and chips at an assigned window, keeps the window stocked, and reconciles transactions accurately. When assisting the Casino Credit Clerk or above, the role may also involve processing casino credit applications, completing required verifications, and notifying the Casino Credit Executive or above of critical information found on credit reports. The position promotes superior guest service and requires compliance with applicable gaming regulations.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older.
- High school diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in high-volume cash operations.
- Ability to communicate well with the public.
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and perform basic arithmetic functions.
- Ability to work in an alcohol- and smoking-exposed environment.
- Ability to secure and maintain licensure required by the Louisiana Gaming Control Board or another applicable regulatory entity, or required by Live’s operating standards.
- Ability and willingness to meet the applicant’s schedules when needed, including extended hours in a 24/7 operation.
- Ability and energy to move throughout a large casino with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to go up and down stairs multiple times per day and use elevators.
Responsibilities
- Explain Live! Rewards card uses and benefits to guests and describe current and upcoming promotions.
- Issue Live! Rewards cards to new and existing guests accurately and efficiently.
- Assist Live! Rewards members with redemption transactions.
- Exchange chips and slot tickets for cash.
- Perform check-cashing and counter-check transactions for slot patrons.
- Assist customers with check-cashing and front-money applications.
- Maintain responsibility for chips and cash in the assigned window.
- Keep the window neat and stocked with cash, chips, and supplies for the next shift.
- Process transactions accurately and maintain accurate reconciliations.
- When assisting the Casino Credit Clerk or above, process credit applications.
- Perform required verifications for casino credit applications in accordance with regulations.
- Notify the Casino Credit Executive or above of critical information on credit reports.
- Ensure compliance with State Gaming Agency regulatory controls.
- Promote superior guest service.
