Cage Cashiers are responsible for calculating customer chip totals and paying out cash for collected chips. They must ensure their cash drawer remains balanced at all times, making exchanges with the vault as needed. Additionally, they verify customer identification for cash advances and accurately complete transactions throughout their shift. This role safeguards the Northern Quest Casino's bankroll, maintaining an accurate balance exceeding $40,000. Key duties include selling and redeeming player terminal tickets and gift cards, performing patron management functions, redeeming coupons and promotional payout vouchers, and exchanging foreign currency. Cage Cashiers also handle cash and chip exchanges for customers, process checks and credit/debit transactions according to policy, and work collaboratively with team members to uphold high service standards. They are responsible for securing all items of value, reporting suspicious transactions, notifying supervisors of discrepancies, and assisting with tracking reportable transactions in accordance with Title 31 requirements. Maintaining confidentiality of casino and guest data, preparing and issuing poker dealer banks, and assisting the poker department with tournament duties are also part of the role. The position requires reconciling the bank at the end of each shift, providing exceptional guest service, ensuring control and protection of company assets, and maintaining a neat and orderly workspace. Employees must be available for schedule changes as needed for business levels, maintain consistent attendance, and attend mandatory training and meetings.
