About The Position

The Cafeteria Attendant performs janitorial and utility duties to keep assigned areas safe and clean while providing excellent teamwork and guest service. The role follows company, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures. The attendant may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime, and the manager may assign additional or revised tasks according to business volume and current needs.

Requirements

• Able to follow verbal and written directions.
• Able to work with industrial cleaning supplies.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to successfully multitask several duties at one time.
• Possess sufficient strength to perform job responsibilities, including lifting or transporting at least 50 pounds and pushing or pulling carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds.
• Able to stand and maintain well-paced mobility for up to four hours at a time.
• Able to perform constant standing and walking and frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting.
• Wear closed-toe, non-canvas, non-skid-soled shoes.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma is desirable.
• Previous restaurant or food service experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors and clean walls and floor mats.
• Remove refuse, clean trash containers, keep the loading dock orderly, and pick up trash in the kitchen and loading dock area.
• Maintain walk-in refrigerators and keep storage areas, tools, equipment, carts, and other assigned items clean.
• Participate in dish area operations as assigned and return items that are not sufficiently clean for a second wash.
• Change and dispose of grease.
• Maintain awareness of safety and accident prevention; notify the Manager immediately and complete an accident/incident report if an accident occurs.
• Assist fellow associates as needed.
• Report maintenance problems and other problem areas to the designated Manager on Duty.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation policies and procedures, and ensure compliance.
