About The Position

Nino Salvaggio is hiring a Cafe Manager for its Bloomfield Township location. The Cafe Manager directs and supervises cafe operations, including the production, sale, and distribution of cafe products, while adhering to quality standards. The role includes preparing pizza and sandwiches according to company recipes, providing courteous customer service, supporting merchandising and sales goals, and assisting with staff management, inventory, and product quality. This is an hourly position averaging 50 hours per week, with annual compensation of $55,000–$65,000.

Requirements

• At least six months of food experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Cash handling experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Food management experience and/or certification.
• Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent knowledge of products offered in the cafe.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for periods of eight or more hours.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise cafe operations, including production, sale, and distribution of products, while adhering to quality standards.
• Prepare pizza and sandwiches according to company recipes and guidelines.
• Learn and communicate differences in price, taste, preparation, and use among cafe products and menu items.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Follow cash management guidelines.
• Assist with the department merchandising plan and goals.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and developing associates through supervision, delegation, rewards, and discipline.
• Receive, date, price mark, and restock products according to approved procedures to protect quality, public image, accuracy, and product rotation.
• Assist with ordering and inventory control to maintain freshness, product quality, turnover, sales, and return on investment.
• Check merchandise received against vendor invoices and confirm items are delivered in satisfactory condition.
• Maintain communication within the store and organization.
• Motivate associates to achieve company sales and customer service goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
