About The Position

Coordinates daily operations of the Refuel Cafe at Holloman Air Force Base, a facility serving military dorm residents with free non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and internet access. The position oversees beverage service, volunteers, sanitation, supplies, equipment, safety, records, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Three (3) Years related experience
  • Interview and approval by the Wing Chaplain or designee.
  • Resume must include at least two favorable references familiar with prior non-alcoholic beverage preparation, barista service, or similar work.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Must possess or obtain and maintain a current ServSafe Food Handler certification, or equivalent food-safety certification, as required.
  • Must complete applicable AFMAN-required food service, sanitation, and safety training/certification requirements.
  • Ability to complete installation background-check, fingerprinting, identity-management, and CAC-access requirements, as applicable.
  • Ability to complete required Information Assurance Awareness and Total Force Awareness training.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and oversee volunteers and validate compliance with operational requirements, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Oversee facility activities during open hours and prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages using barista-style equipment and the posted menu.
  • Arrange seating for special functions while maintaining fire and safety requirements and ensure approved operating hours are covered, including holidays or extended events when scheduled.
  • Maintain safe and healthful working conditions in accordance with applicable OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize beverage-service items, food-preparation equipment, refrigerators, freezers, serving areas, dining areas, restrooms, floors, windows, furniture, and other used spaces.
  • Monitor inventory and stock levels, coordinate supply needs in advance, test refrigerated and frozen-item temperatures, and account for monthly supply expenditures.
  • Inventory Government equipment at closing, maintain equipment and repair logs, and notify the COR in writing of repair needs within required timeframes.
  • Maintain volunteer, facility-usage, beverage-service, patron, maintenance, expenditure, and other Government-provided logs and submit required reports.
  • Provide mishap or injury reports involving personnel, Government property, equipment, or beverage-service operations.
  • Coordinate and account for supplemental funding, supplies, or donations from external organizations.
  • Provide courteous, friendly service to military dorm residents and other authorized customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
