About The Position

Sam's Club is hiring a Cafe Associate for its new Katy, Texas club. As a founding associate, you will help establish the member experience and team culture while preparing and serving food in a fast-paced, high-volume cafe. The role includes preparing food, monitoring freshness and food safety, stocking displays, and providing friendly member service. Associates also help keep the cafe clean and welcoming, support club pick-up orders, and safely operate and sanitize equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.
• Passion for delivering excellent member service, food preparation, and customer service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and follow food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to item specifications, planning for daily production, mass production, and seasonality.
• Follow food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, Cold Chain compliance, and inventory management practices.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, maintain quality and date control standards, and eliminate waste.
• Use hand-held technology to make in-the-moment decisions about production, ordering, and product quality.
• Assist members with purchasing decisions, payment types, locating merchandise, and resolving issues.
• Support receiving club pick-up orders and stock displays with proper containers and packaging.
• Keep the cafe area clean, sanitized, and member-ready.
• Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment safely and effectively.
