About The Position

The Café Shift Leader provides leadership to deliver a remarkable experience for customers and co-workers in accordance with Colectivo Coffee’s mission and values, under the supervision of the Café Manager. The role supports the café’s financial results, develops co-workers, and helps ensure café operations and customer experiences meet company standards.

Requirements

• College degree in a business-related field and/or at least 6 months of work experience in a hospitality setting and/or a supervisory role.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer programs.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics for business use.
• Availability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to reach, bend, and lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to see, read, and write in English.
• Completion of Colectivo Café training programs: Register, SB, 300-level bar certification, and New Hire Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the café’s positive financial results in accordance with budget.
• Develop and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement that follows Standard Operating Procedures and processes.
• Train and develop co-workers to perform their jobs effectively and maintain a high level of performance.
• Delegate specific responsibilities using the Café Functional Architecture Model.
• Ensure the café’s coffee, food, and administrative functions provide a remarkable customer experience through Colectivo’s people, products, and environments.
• Maintain a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to customers and co-workers.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
