About The Position

Utilizes designated software technology to fabricate dental prosthesis according to doctors’ prescription. Designs, fabricates, and repairs dental prosthesis/dental appliances using designated software technology. Reads and understands prescription; constructs prostheses by following doctors’ orders and instructions. Evaluates and modifies designs to ensure correct crown placement and contact/occlusion parameters are within specification. Performs undercut curtain check and removal. Performs crown seating simulation and adjusts design as needed. Follows quality standard protocols. Tests software and hardware; validates or calibrates system or equipment as needed. Assists in various tasks relating to the design process. Uploads files as required. Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and applicable technical information.
Ability to create and compose written materials with proper English grammar and punctuation.
Ability to read, interpret, and communicate the contextual meaning of numerical data.

Ability to communicate effectively using chat and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams
Demonstrated knowledge of dental terminology.
Demonstrated knowledge of Company digital design parameters and quality standards.
Demonstrated knowledge of digital dental production.

Ability to fabricate dental prosthetics accurately and on time according to doctor’s request.
Ability to frequently bend and/or twist at waist/knees/neck to and from seated position while working at desk/bench and reaching for equipment.
Ability to apply consistent amounts of pressure while using a hand-held power tool.
Ability to frequently communicate with others.
Ability to maintain long periods of mental alertness and attention to detail while setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments.
Ability to constantly perform sedentary work, spending extended periods of time at desk or workstation.
Ability to seldom stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to seldom climb stairs at some locations.
Ability to seldom push and/or pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Ability to seldom lift or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
Ability to keyboard for extended periods of time.
Ability to function in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Ability to visually discern subtle shades of color.
Ability to visually inspect dental restorations for compliance with quality standards.
Ability to demonstrate normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; maintain corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
Ability to manipulate hand-held instruments such as spatulas, paintbrushes, tongs, and carvers to make precision movements repetitively.

Nice To Haves

Prior dental work experience or background, a plus.
Previous experience working in positions that require hand and finger dexterity, a plus.
Virtual Plaster Experience (VPX) certification, preferred.
