About The Position

CUI Cable Services is hiring entry-level Cable Technicians and provides paid, hands-on training for candidates without cable experience. Technicians travel to customer homes to install and service telecommunications equipment, including residential Internet, TV, phone, and security services. The role involves independent work, customer interaction, troubleshooting, and maintaining company-provided vehicles, tools, and inventory. Compensation is performance-based, with stated earnings of $800–$1,200 or more per week and opportunities to increase earnings through performance incentives and advancement. CUI offers training, mentorship, and career growth opportunities, including advancement to Lead Technician, Quality Control, Supervisor, Trainer, and Management roles.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be at least 23 years old.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
Comfortable climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
Able to work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.
Reliable and dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using technology, customer-focused, self-motivated, able to work independently, and willing to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

Install, activate, and troubleshoot residential Internet, TV, phone, and security services.
Diagnose and resolve service issues efficiently.
Educate customers about their equipment and services.
Test signal quality and ensure installations meet company standards.
Complete upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Accurately document completed work using mobile applications.
Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Develop skills through ongoing training and certifications.
