About The Position

This role is responsible for managing and accounting for all inventory, both Company Owned and Customer Owned, across multiple warehouses and field service locations. The specialist will handle inventory transactions, conduct regular counts, investigate and resolve inventory errors, and manage inventory transfers. The position also involves auditing locations, performing cycle counts, coordinating with the Regional Inventory Manager to improve reporting, and implementing best practices for inventory management. Adjusting work schedules and working overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Manage and account for all inventory (Company Owned and Customer Owned) across multiple warehouses and field service locations
Enter all cable paperwork and transact inventory usage for cable
Regularly verify & count inventory as inaccuracies are reported or requested
Perform investigative duties to discover root cause for inventory errors and develop corrective action plans
Manage inventory transfer process between facilities
Manage inventory movement and supporting documentation
Audit locations and perform cycle counting in Warehouse and Yard Locations as well as Customer Owned Cable
Build relationships with multiple departments and meet the demands of each as they pertain to inventory
Coordinate with Regional Inventory Manager to improve inventory reporting methodology
Incorporate inventory controls to enhance inventory accuracy
Institute best practices as they relate to inventory management
Recognize and suggest improvements to eliminate inventory errors
Adjust work schedule and/or work overtime to accommodate both shifts & overtime
Other duties as assigned
