Cable Inventory Specialist - Permian
About The Position
The Cable Inventory Specialist will manage and account for all inventory (Company Owned and Customer Owned) across multiple warehouses and field service locations. This role involves entering cable paperwork, transacting inventory usage, and regularly verifying and counting inventory. The specialist will perform investigative duties to discover the root cause of inventory errors and develop corrective action plans. Additionally, they will manage the inventory transfer process between facilities, oversee inventory movement and supporting documentation, and audit locations through cycle counting in warehouse, yard, and customer-owned cable locations. The role requires building relationships with multiple departments to meet their inventory-related demands and coordinating with the Regional Inventory Manager to improve inventory reporting methodology. The specialist will also incorporate inventory controls to enhance accuracy, institute best practices for inventory management, and recognize and suggest improvements to eliminate inventory errors. The ability to adjust work schedules and work overtime to accommodate different shifts is also necessary. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Manage and account for all inventory (Company Owned and Customer Owned) across multiple warehouses and field service locations
- Enter all cable paperwork and transact inventory usage for cable
- Regularly verify & count inventory as inaccuracies are reported or requested
- Perform investigative duties to discover route cause for inventory errors and develop corrective action plans
- Manage inventory transfer process between facilities
- Manage inventory movement and supporting documentation
- Audit locations and perform cycle counting in Warehouse and Yard Locations as well as Customer Owned Cable
- Build relationships with multiple departments and meet the demands of each as they pertain to inventory
- Coordinate with Regional Inventory Manager to improve inventory reporting methodology
- Incorporate inventory controls to enhance inventory accuracy
- Institute best practices as they relate to inventory management
- Recognize and suggest improvements to eliminate inventory errors
- Adjust work schedule and/or work overtime to accommodate both shifts & overtime
