About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to help every guest have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, assisting them, and accurately processing point-of-sale transactions. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and contributes to a positive team environment.

The position also involves maintaining the store’s appearance and cleanliness, stocking merchandise, and keeping the gas pumps and the outside of the store clean. Candidates must be able to multitask, remain composed in fast-paced or uncertain situations, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis. The role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide work cards required by the jurisdiction before the start date.

• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret English-language documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

• Previous point-of-sale experience.
• Previous retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.
