About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides customer service while helping guests have a positive shopping experience. The role includes retail sales and accurate point-of-sale transactions, maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the store and gas pumps, stocking, and supporting team members. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, and can multitask and stay composed in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide any work cards required by the jurisdiction before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication may also be required.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain the store’s appearance so it is clean, neat, organized, and welcoming.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the exterior appearance of the store.
• Support team members and promote a positive team environment.
