About The Position

The Cashier is the face of the store and provides exceptional customer service to help guests have a positive shopping experience. The role involves greeting customers, handling point-of-sale transactions, retail sales, and supporting the store’s day-to-day appearance and operations. The successful candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and contributes to a positive team environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required.

Requirements

• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks at once.

• Ability to maintain composure during times of uncertainty.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
• Provide work cards required for the jurisdiction before the start date.
• Valid Health Card.
• Valid Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written English communication skills may also be required.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance from others.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant experience, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.

• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the store’s outside appearance.
