About The Position

The C-Store Cashier provides customer service and helps ensure guests have a positive shopping experience. The role includes greeting customers, handling point-of-sale transactions, maintaining the store and gas pumps, stocking and cleaning, and supporting team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, communicates effectively, works well under pressure, and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis, are required. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Required work cards must be provided before the start date; a valid Health Card and valid Alcohol Awareness Card are required.

• Ability to read and interpret English documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and communicate verbally in English; written communication in English may also be required.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions and handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 45 lbs., and stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach, and type without assistance.

• Previous point-of-sale experience, retail sales, gas station attendant, or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and greet all customers.
• Maintain the appearance of the store, keeping it clean, neat, and organized.
• Process accurate point-of-sale customer transactions.
• Stock and clean the store.
• Maintain the cleanliness and management of the gas pumps and the outside appearance of the store.
