About The Position
Northern Nevada Medical Center is hiring a C.N.A. for its Medical/Telemetry Unit. This per diem opportunity offers a convenient day shift schedule. The C.N.A. provides safe, competent nursing assistant care and professional support to the healthcare team. Patient Centered Care provides the foundation for nursing care, and the C.N.A. demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. Northern Nevada Medical Center is a 124-bed acute care hospital located in Sparks, Nevada.
Requirements
- Current Nevada C.N.A. license required.
- Current BLS certificate required.
Nice To Haves
- Graduation from an accredited C.N.A. program preferred.
- One year of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, competent nursing assistant care to patients.
- Provide professional support to the healthcare team.
- Complete bedside shift reports in the patient’s room at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Ensure the communication board lists the names and contact numbers of care-team members every shift.
- Meet with the supervising RN at the beginning of each shift to receive task delegation.
- Incorporate patients’ and families’ psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs into care.
