About The Position

The C-12/King Air Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P) performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12/King Air (200/350/1900) aircraft. This role is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness. Tasks include working on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls, and airframe components. Repairs are performed using various tools and equipment. The mechanic must comply with aircraft records procedures, ensure discrepancies are recorded properly, and understand computerized maintenance software. Responsibilities also include performing aircraft recovery missions, engine run or taxi operations, and meeting certification requirements within 12 months of employment. The role requires reading and interpreting maintenance manuals and specifications to determine repair methods.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
  • AM-1: Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) years of C-12 experience preferred.
  • AM-2: Five (5) years of A&P, C-12/ King Air A&P mechanic experience is required.
  • AM-3: Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience required, and Thirteen (13) years of C-12 experience desired for the AM-3, under the Union CBA.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
  • Mechanic Tools are Required; mechanics must provide their own tools and toolbox.
  • Must be willing and able to work shifts and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation, per the Union CBA.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.
  • US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
  • Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
  • Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
  • Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of C-12 King Air hands-on experience preferred for AM-1 level.
  • Thirteen (13) years of C-12 experience required for an AM-3, under the Union CBA.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications.
