An Aircraft Mechanic II performs repairs, modifications, and installations on C-12 aircraft avionics, wiring, components, flight controls, and P&W PT6A-41, PT6A-42, PT6A-60 PT6A-65 turbo prop engines. This role also involves operating ground support equipment and flight line vehicles. The primary functions, which can be performed without direct supervision, include performing tasks as assigned/directed by Maintenance Supervisors and/or Maintenance Manager in accordance with instructions, applicable technical data, manuals, and directives. The mechanic evaluates aircraft discrepancies to identify proper methods for repair, identifies necessary parts, materials, and tooling requirements, and utilizes manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, Maintenance Engineering Directives, schematics, drawings, blueprints, charts, and other applicable publications to install, test, troubleshoot, and ensure aircraft modifications are accomplished in a timely manner. They also inspect for corrosion, treat, and repair discrepancies, perform touch up painting and apply decals and labels, and prepare aircraft components for paint. Compliance with established standards of workmanship, safety, quality, and production is required.
