About The Position
David Yurman’s Summer 2027 Internship Program is a paid, nine-week immersive experience in New York City for students and emerging professionals interested in the luxury jewelry industry. Interns work with expert teams across departments and gain hands-on experience in jewelry, luxury branding, and brand operations. The program also includes networking events, mentorship, and industry insights. The Buying Intern reports to the Assistant Manager, Buying. The program runs June 7 through August 6, 2027, and the role is hybrid in New York, NY. The estimated pay is $25 per hour, and interns can participate in weekly learning, social, and networking events.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in undergraduate studies in a related field.
- Must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Must understand Excel, Adobe Suite, and PowerPoint.
Nice To Haves
- A background in Fashion Merchandising (Buying), Business Administration, or Retail Planning is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze inventory and sales data to consolidate product allocations to top-performing stores, maintain optimal stock levels, and maximize sales potential.
- Update and improve reporting tools and processes to align with new workflows and system upgrades.
- Support the rollout of a new planning system by liaising between planning teams and implementation stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for merchandise-related inquiries and requests from store teams, providing prompt and accurate responses.
