Requirements

  • 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, planning, or supply-chain experience (aerospace/electronics a plus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive mindset with strong sense of urgency
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and analytical thinking
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • ITAR requirement
  • Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
  • This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee. See 22 CFR 120.15.

Responsibilities

  • Issues purchase orders from ERP-generated recommendations and material planner requirements
  • Selects suppliers from the pre-approved AVL and follows existing pricing agreements, templates, and contracts
  • Performs routine follow-up on open POs for order confirmation, lead-time verification, and on-time delivery
  • Updates ERP with promised dates, pricing, MOQs, and standard supplier correspondence
  • Obtains spot-buy quotations and partners with site management for approval
  • Processes supplier invoices and resolves basic mismatches with Accounts Payable
  • Escalates all delivery delays, quality issues, pricing disputes, or supplier performance problems to site management
  • Supports data cleanup, blanket-order releases, inventory reports, and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
  • Expedite production orders to assist with Customer needs
