About The Position

The Buyer/Procurement Analyst sources, negotiates, and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, parts, services, and supplies. The role compiles and analyzes statistical data to assess purchasing feasibility and set price objectives, monitors supplier performance for quality, reliability, and schedule adherence, and tracks information on price trends and manufacturing processes. It also evaluates opportunities to leverage material acquisitions and analyzes supplier operations and cost factors. The position reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, follows up on orders, verifies deliveries, approves payments, and maintains purchasing records. It also prepares requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages. This is a six-month contract with potential for extension, located in Lexington, Kentucky, with a stated pay rate of $30.42 per hour. A Secret clearance is required. Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR and meet the stated experience requirements.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
Must have a Secret clearance.
At least 1 year of data entry experience.
Ability to create and use Excel worksheets.
Experience compiling and analyzing statistical data for purchasing decisions.
Experience monitoring supplier performance and tracking price trends.
Experience negotiating with suppliers and analyzing supplier operations.
Experience reviewing proposals and selecting or recommending suppliers.
Experience following up on orders, verifying delivery, and approving payment.
Experience preparing requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid packages.

Responsibilities
