About The Position

Sika is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner to join its growing roofing business team in Sealy, Texas. Within the Roofing Target Market, the role is responsible for ensuring reliable and prompt supply of Trading Goods to various warehouse locations and managing subsequent replenishment activity. The position also participates in inventory management. The Buyer/Planner assists the Supply Chain Manager with inventory control, monitors Trading Product demand, and communicates with Trading Goods vendors to ensure timely and accurate supply. The role also manages orders for certain Semi-Finished items that become Trading Goods, optimizes Trading Goods inventory velocity, and minimizes obsolete and aged inventory. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of product experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and effective time-management skills.
Ability to present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization.
Excellent knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution, MS Word, MS Excel, and IBM Lotus Notes.

Assist the Supply Chain Manager with inventory control.

Communicate with Trading Goods vendors as needed to ensure timely and accurate supply.
Enter and manage orders for certain Semi-Finished items that will become Trading Goods.
Optimize Trading Goods inventory velocity.
Minimize obsolete and aged Trading Goods inventory.
