About The Position

Sika is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner for its roofing business in Sealy, Texas. Within the Roofing Target Market, the position is responsible for ensuring reliable and prompt supply of Trading Goods to various warehouse locations and managing the replenishment activity that follows. The role also participates in inventory management and assists the Supply Chain Manager with inventory control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of product experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and effective time-management skills.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution, MS Word, MS Excel, and IBM Lotus Notes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with inventory control.
• Monitor demand for Trading Products.
• Communicate with Trading Goods vendors as needed to ensure timely and accurate supply.
• Enter and manage orders for certain Semi-Finished items that will become Trading Goods.
• Optimize Trading Goods inventory velocity.
• Minimize obsolete and aged Trading Goods inventory.
