About The Position

Provisur’s Buyer Planners develop and implement supply chain processes, planning tools, and demand management strategies for assigned commodities. The role supports inventory control, planning, purchasing, analysis, and communication, balancing supply schedules against forecasts and customer orders to ensure product availability. Buyer Planners work to meet operating-plan objectives for inventory turns, service levels, safety stock, and costs.

Requirements

• Experience in a supply chain function is required.
• Knowledge of distribution and transportation requirements.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience purchasing manufactured components, including metal fabrication and machined components.
• Experience managing an aftermarket supply chain.
• CPM, CPIM, and/or APICS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Maintain uninterrupted product supply and inventory to meet operating-plan objectives, including inventory turns, service levels, safety stock targets, and cost goals.
• Implement and execute MRP and demand planning for assigned commodities, and manage supplier transitions.
• Analyze and recommend minimum and incremental DRP quantities and DRP coverage; maintain system parameters.
• Manage supplier programs for assigned commodities, including Kanban replenishment and consigned or vendor-managed inventory (VMI) programs.
• Create purchase orders, supplier requirement forecasts, and supplier build strategies to meet customer demand.
• Execute supplier orders and work with operations to meet on-time delivery, cycle time, and fill-rate goals for assigned commodities and suppliers.
• Analyze inbound requirements and balance order quantities with transportation economies, including container and truck utilization.
