About The Position

Sika is seeking an experienced Buyer/Planner for its roofing business in Sealy, Texas. Within the Roofing Target Market, the role ensures reliable and timely supply of Trading Goods to multiple warehouse locations and manages the resulting replenishment activity. The position also supports inventory management and works with the Supply Chain Manager and vendors to maintain appropriate product availability and inventory levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of product experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and effective time-management skills.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization.
• Excellent knowledge of SAP Sales and Distribution, MS Word, MS Excel, and IBM Lotus Notes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supply Chain Manager with inventory control.
• Monitor demand for Trading Products.
• Purchase Trading Goods for inventory and subsequent resale.
• Communicate with Trading Goods vendors to ensure timely and accurate supply.
• Enter and manage orders for certain Semi-Finished items that will become Trading Goods.
• Optimize Trading Goods inventory velocity.
• Minimize obsolete and aged Trading Goods inventory.
